Samartha Sadguru Sri Babuji Maharaj
Sri Babuji , is a spiritual teacher who dedicated his life to penance and the imparting of spiritual knowledge. Sri Babu was a stellar exponent of Advaita Vedanta and an extraordinary spiritual master. For nearly half a century, Sri Babu worked tirelessly toward the eradication of peoples’ suffering and the spiritual awakening of mankind. He taught that God is one, and that true spiritual mastery lies in making the complex paths of realization accessible to the modern seeker.
Sri Babuji demonstrated infinite compassion to all who sought his refuge, often treating physical, emotional, and spiritual afflictions through his extraordinary presence. He established Sri Kali Gardens Ashram as a sanctuary for active spiritual practice. Having completed his mission, Sri Babuji shed his mortal form on December 3, 1988, and attained Maha Samadhi. He continues to live on universally, beautifully answering the letters of his devotees as Your Hridaya Babu—the eternal indweller of the heart.
Samartha Sadguru Sri Babu spent many years in penance and going on pilgrimages throughout the country. As a child, He would spend months in deep meditation in sacred places including those of Srisailam, Tirumala, Sabarimalai, Uttarakasi, and parts of the Himalayas. During His early ages, he came into contact with the great sage and Rajayogi, Sri Kandarpa Parasuramayya. Initially only known to a few individuals, gradually the name, knowledge, and life of Sri Babuji Maharaj spread and eventually the Kali Vana Ahsram was built.
Divine Mission
Consecration of Live Temples
Under his personal supervision, Sri Babuji constructed and consecrated five major temples within the Ashram (including Sri Babu Vignana Mandir, Sri Kodanda Ramaswamy, and Sri Maha Kalika Parameshwari). He explicitly revealed that these installations are live, potent divine presences rather than static idols, designed to grant peace to sincere seekers.
Universal Peace Yagnas
Understanding the fateful spiritual periods humanity faces, Sri Babuji personally designed and oversaw multiple major Vedic Yagnas within the Ashram grounds to ward off negative forces and cultivate global prosperity.
Sacred Marble Brindavanam
Built on the exact site of his Homa Gundam, the Sri Brindavanam Temple houses the sacred marble form of Sri Babuji. Inaugurated in 1995, it stands as a global center of pilgrimage where visitors experience instantaneous silence and deep, concentrated spiritual bliss.
